  5. Sexually transmitted infections (STIs): Some STIs can cause a fistula, but this is not common.
  6. Tuberculosis affecting the anus: Tuberculosis can sometimes cause a fistula in the bottom, but this is rare.
  7. Radiation therapy in the pelvic region: If you have radiation therapy in your pelvic area, it can sometimes cause a fistula.
  8. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD): IBD can cause sores in your gut that can turn into a fistula.

Symptoms of Piles (Hemorrhoids)
